My thirteen year old daughter is interested in learning how to do stained glass. Do you think the beginner class would be something she would be able to attend?
Thanks for the enquiry.
Yes, if she is a responsible kid she could take the class to learn about the basics.
Like everthing, stained glass is not without its (manageable) risks.
We use chemicals and lead solder in the process, and so I don’t recommend “regular” soldering for young people with developing bodies.
If needed, I could do her soldering for her in the class.
Having said that, I do emphasise safety (safety glasses, gloves, ventilation) so she could give it a try if she wanted to at this one time.
If it piques her interest in glass that would be super, she could pick it up as an interesting hobby, either with a bit of adult help now or on her own once she is a bit older.
I hope this helps.
Great – she is very intent on trying so this is a great opportunity. I just registered us both and will see you on the 21st. Thanks
I received your registration, thanks so much!
