Strong at 93

I visited a lovely lady named Doris this morning. She had some scrap glass for me to look at, and was happy I agreed to take it for my scrap bins. Doris is an original recycler – she has been recycling long before it was the cool thing to do. While I was there, this lantern caught my eye – it was made by Doris’ daughter, Phyllis, and it is so beautiful! Phyllis is a lucky daughter, as Doris – at 93 – is the picture of beauty and spry health!

Please note that I “sell” or donate my scrap bins to people who work in mosaic or stained glass, or youth groups who are in need of materials. If I “sell” a bin, I donate that money to KidsAbility, my chosen destination for corporate donations. Every little bit helps and it keeps usable glass out of the landfill!
